Basil Rahmi, CEO of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA), affirmed the agency’s commitment to continuously developing the performance of its employees to enhance their capabilities and improve their efficiency in delivering financial, technical, and marketing services to clients and project owners in a more professional manner, in line with the rapid technological and digital transformations in the Egyptian and regional markets.
Rahmi made these remarks on the occasion of MSMEDA signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Arab Academy for Administrative, Financial and Banking Sciences, under which the Academy will provide specialized training programs for the agency’s staff to build their capacities and strengthen their professional skills.
Developing Human Capital
Rahmi emphasized that developing human capital is a top priority for MSMEDA, as part of its efforts to ensure that employees keep pace with the evolving mechanisms of providing financing, non-financial services, and marketing support to clients.
He added that the agency works in partnership with leading educational and training institutions with distinguished expertise to benefit from their internationally and regionally accredited programs. This enables MSMEDA staff to enhance their performance, develop their skills, and acquire digital tools that help them deliver higher-quality, more accurate, and faster services to clients and project owners, thus strengthening the agency’s overall ability to meet the needs of the MSME sector.
High-Quality Educational Content
Rahmi noted that cooperation with the Arab Academy will allow employees to benefit from high-quality educational and training content produced by the Academy in collaboration with specialized experts from various Arab countries across multiple fields.
He explained that coordination is underway to provide partial scholarships for MSMEDA employees to pursue professional doctorates and MBAs, which will further enhance their ability to deliver support services in a more professional manner.
Specialized Technical Training
The CEO added that the Academy will design specialized technical training programs tailored for MSMEDA, including programs in small business management and financing, feasibility studies, risk management and governance, digital transformation, and value and supply chains.
This cooperation comes within the framework of joint efforts to improve the performance of service providers for project owners and aspiring entrepreneurs across all governorates and various sectors.
Adding Value to Service Delivery
For his part, Mostafa Hodeib, President of the Arab Academy for Administrative, Financial and Banking Sciences, stressed the importance of cooperating with MSMEDA in delivering specialized training and technical programs for its employees, which add significant value to the service delivery process for project owners.
He pointed to the Academy’s cooperation with MSMEDA in conducting a needs assessment for entrepreneurs and business owners, and in designing training courses to enhance the capabilities of agency staff to deliver services in the best possible ways.
Leading Expertise
Hodeib highlighted that the Academy has leading expertise in this field as one of the prominent institutions of joint Arab action in providing training, education, and professional qualification in financial and banking fields, in addition to its ability to design customized training programs according to the specific needs of each organization.
In the same context, Sherif Metwally stated that signing this MoU comes as part of MSMEDA’s strategic direction toward building an integrated institutional capacity-building system through sustainable investment in human capital, as the main pillar for improving the quality of services provided.
He added that the agency is keen to shift toward modern training models that support digital transformation and enhance staff efficiency in dealing with changing market requirements and the evolving needs of entrepreneurs and business owners.
