Internal Trade Development Authority Explores Using AI to Upgrade Commercial Registry Services

As part of the state’s efforts to accelerate digital transformation and enhance the efficiency of government services, Mr. Karim El-Shafaei, Vice Chairman of the Internal Trade Development Authority (ITDA), held a meeting with representatives of Entlaq and Valify to discuss ways to develop and modernize commercial registry services through the adoption of artificial intelligence tools and solutions.
Meeting Participants
The Entlaq delegation included Ziad Mehub, Government Affairs Manager, and Mohamed Merdan, Head of Strategy and Market Analysis. Valify was represented by Omar Abdelwahid, Chairman of the Board, and Peter Abdo, Director of Product Group Management. From the Authority, the meeting was attended by Eng. Ashraf Gado, Head of the Central Administration for the Trade Information and IT Center, and Kamel Ahmed, Head of the Central Administration for the Commercial Registry.
Smart Solutions
The meeting discussed mechanisms for leveraging smart solutions to improve the speed and accuracy of registration and update procedures, reduce service delivery time, and facilitate easier access for investors and business owners to commercial registry services with greater efficiency.
Private Sector Partnership
The discussions also highlighted opportunities for partnership with the private sector to support digital innovation, enhance the competitiveness of the business environment, and improve the efficiency of the internal trade system in line with the goals of comprehensive economic development.
