The Deloitte Innovation Hub in Cairo has reached its second anniversary, establishing itself as one of the preeminent centers for digital transformation both regionally and globally. This milestone is underpinned by substantial financial commitments, with the Hub having already invested $30 million since its launch in Egypt. This initial outlay will be significantly augmented by an additional $80 million planned for investment over the next three years. These financial commitments are formal components of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that was signed during the Global Offshoring Summit, reflecting a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening and accelerating Egypt’s digital ecosystem.
The scale of the Hub's growth has been remarkable. Starting with a modest team of just 23 experts, the Deloitte Innovation Hub in Cairo has rapidly expanded its workforce to include more than 600 specialists. This multidisciplinary team has successfully delivered hundreds of complex client engagements across the entire EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region. The significant national importance of the office was highlighted by its official inauguration by Amr Talaat, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, signaling its crucial impact in driving digital transformation and enhancing technological capabilities on a broad scale within the country.
The Hub is recognized as one of the fastest-growing global innovation centers within Deloitte's network. It focuses on providing advanced, next-generation solutions that expertly harness the power of critical emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud computing, data analytics, enterprise technology, and cybersecurity. Hani Girgis, CEO and Managing Partner at the Deloitte Innovation Hub, emphasized the strategic aim to leverage this success, stating, "As we continue to expand, we remain committed to making Egyptian expertise one of the country’s most valuable global exports.”
Furthermore, Ahmed Salem, COO, detailed the technical approach, explaining that the multidisciplinary teams integrate AI, cloud, data, and cybersecurity to engineer comprehensive, end-to-end solutions that are designed to deliver tangible business outcomes, ranging from intelligent automation and predictive analytics to secure cloud migration and digital infrastructure modernization. Salem also indicated a heavy focus on advancing the Hub’s AI and cloud capabilities, which further strengthens Cairo’s position as a global destination for digital excellence, a momentum clearly reflected by Egypt’s ranking as the world’s fifth leading offshoring destination for 2025.
