Egyptian Startups Showcase Innovations at SelectUSA Tech and Qualify for Global Competition

The Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Egypt, Evgenia Sidereas, announced the Egyptian winners of the 2026 SelectUSA Tech competition. The competition was supported by the Venture Lab at the The American University in Cairo, affiliated with the Onsi Sawiris School of Business, in addition to Flat6Labs, Mint Incubator, the Entrepreneurship Center at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport, and Den Venture.

Startups

From a highly competitive pool of startups, UnTap impressed the jury with its solutions for managing competitions and prize-based application workflows. Meanwhile, Tijara Hub secured its win with innovative cross-border e-commerce and supply chain solutions. Both companies have earned their place on one of the world’s largest startup platforms.

The jury also awarded honorary mentions to Hiroy for its innovative personal safety solution, and Plan Q for its locally manufactured computer devices.

Global Competition

In May, the Egyptian innovators will join entrepreneurs from more than 100 countries at the SelectUSA Investment Summit, where they will connect with U.S. investors and ecosystem leaders as part of the global startup community.
