Egyptian Founders Win Top Honors at TiE U MENA 2025 Middle East & Africa Track

The TiE U MENA Program 2025 has announced the final winners of the Middle East & Africa Track, marking a strong close to this year’s program with outstanding participation from Egyptian founders who showcased innovative solutions and a clear vision for impact.
First Places
Hamza Abu-alkhair, founder of Lothgha, secured first place, while Mohamed Ehab, founder of Bana Med, and Mahmoud Okasha, founder of Blutechnova, were named runner-ups.
Exceptional Quality
The program highlighted the exceptional quality of the Egyptian-led startups, noting their strong value propositions, scalability, and potential to create meaningful social and economic impact across the region.
The organizers also extended their appreciation to the distinguished jury members, Vaishal Mehta, Ayah El-Arief, and Sion Hau, whose expertise and guidance played a key role in shaping the final outcomes.
Lothgha
The winning startup, Lothgha, is an innovative speech therapy platform dedicated to transforming lives by addressing speech and communication challenges. The platform offers a fully online therapy program that can be used without direct access to a specialist, while also enabling users to book sessions with certified speech therapy experts from across the Arab world.
Supporting Entrepreneurship
TiE Dubai was inaugurated in January 2003 under the patronage of HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the TECOM Free Zone Authority, and is supported by Dubai Internet City.
The chapter currently has more than 5,000 members, including over 70 Charter Members, comprising entrepreneurs and senior executives from diverse nationalities and professional backgrounds.
With a mission to catalyze entrepreneurship in the region, TiE Dubai organizes regular networking events, provides mentorship services, and supports members in refining their business plans and accessing funding opportunities.
