AUC V-Lab Holds Energy Startup Competition For University Students
AUC’s accelerator and incubator Venture Lab (V-Lab) is accepting applications from university students for a three-day entrepreneurship training program to find startup ideas in the energy sector. The deadline to apply is on Wednesday May 23.
The training comes in partnership with SEED and USAID/Egypt, and it offers participants a chance to learn how to develop ideas and pitch them, design a business model and leading startup and a chance to win 20 mentorship hours offered by V-lab’s staff.
The Venture lab celebrated its fifth anniversary and graduated 13 startups last month including fintech startups YallaPay, and Hood. AUC Venture Lab is the first university-based incubator in Egypt that aims to commercialize technologies and innovations by Egypt-based startups into sustainable ventures. It also allows the startups to use the facilities and database of AUC to create a link between the alumni network and the startups.
