Raya Holding Launches Final Cycle of FutureTECH Accelerator with GIZ

2 days 21 hours ago

Raya Holding for Financial Investments has officially launched the third and final edition of its FutureTECH Accelerator, implemented in collaboration with the German development agency GIZ. This initiative falls under the DevelopPPP program, supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and aims to strengthen private sector engagement in development across emerging markets.

Sector Focus
The accelerator targets early-stage startups working in sectors aligned with Raya’s business footprint—such as information technology, logistics, fintech, retail, clean energy, smart mobility, and customer experience. The goal is to help startups turn high-potential ideas into scalable, market-ready solutions.

Program Highlights
This cycle, which kicked off in March, has provided participating startups with tailored one-on-one mentorship from Raya’s senior executives, access to sector experts, and support in developing proof-of-concept pilots. The program also facilitates collaboration with Raya’s network of partners, clients, and internal teams.

The final stage will culminate in a flagship pitch night, where 10 selected startups will present their solutions to a jury comprising representatives from Raya Holding and GIZ. Winning startups will receive additional mentorship, funding opportunities, and access to Raya’s industry infrastructure.

Investment Readiness Track
The top five performing startups will be enrolled in an Investment Readiness Program, offering advanced financial modeling workshops, valuation coaching, and strategic introductions to potential investors, corporate partners, and customers.

Participating Startups Include:

  • For Wheelz: A vehicle diagnostics and InsurTech platform designed to make mobility safer and more affordable.
  • Tayara: Provides EV-Fleet-as-a-Service with a focus on electric bikes for last-mile delivery fleets.
  • Nanovate: Offers AI-powered voice and chat agents to automate sales and customer support functions.
  • Mezatech: Delivers end-to-end services for device repair, recycling, and electronics retail.
  • Card-Y: A cross-border virtual payment platform targeting African individuals and businesses.
  • EVRaid: Develops locally manufactured, AI-powered electric vehicle powertrain systems.
  • Oaaps: Builds digital logistics and customs platforms to streamline global trade.
  • WinFi: A smart Wi-Fi solution that delivers customer insights and analytics for businesses.
  • TGS: Focuses on sustainable agri-tech for year-round, climate-resilient food production.
  • Meyahh: A water treatment procurement platform connecting suppliers with demand across the value chain.

This marks the conclusion of a multi-year effort by Raya and GIZ to accelerate Egypt’s startup ecosystem through targeted private-sector support and development cooperation.
