This month we came back to you with diverse programs which different entities in the ecosystem offer for the community to participate in. The bundle consists of DemoAfrica Innovation Tour, Singularity University Challenge, Start It Incubation round, and Startup Mentoring Program.

DEMOAfrica Innovation Tour

DEMOAfrica provides a platform where it brings together the Africa tech ecosystem to share ideas and witness new innovations by technology startups across Africa. In the Cairo edition, 30 Egyptian startups will pitch in front of a panel of judges and one startup will be chosen by the jury to represent Egypt in the North African Regional semifinals.

Singularity University Challenge

Singularity University has recently launched its first-ever MENA Global Impact Challenge, The challenge is an open call to entrepreneurs, leaders, scientists, and engineers with the most innovative ideas for moonshot innovations and startups that can positively impact a billion people positively. This year, the challenge is ideally looking for applicants who have the skills and passion for developing and launching a startup around a moonshot idea that addresses climate change, although other outstanding applicants who have other areas of expertise or choose to innovate in other fields will still be accepted. All entrepreneurs, technologists, scientists, or change agents from the MENA region and are fluent in English and who are committed to the long-term journey of launching an impact-focused startup, can apply here before 24th April.

StartIT 15th Incubation Round

If you have an innovative ICT related business plan or prototype and you are looking to get incubated, you can now apply for Start IT incubation program. The program will provide you with physical incubation package for one year which consists of EGP 120K of in-kind services as well as a working space, basic software and hardware tools and access to technical and business consultants specialized in your field.

“Start IT” incubation program is TIEC’s Startup incubator based at their Smart Village premises. Start IT will enable entrepreneurs with ICT related prototypes/proof of concept that is willing to turn their ideas into actual businesses. Incubated teams get a unique opportunity to grow their businesses through one year of in-kind services such as consultancy, mentorship, software & hardware tools in addition to working space fully furnished.  To know more click here. But if you are looking for a mentorship program then Startup Mentoring Program is for you. Startup mentoring by enpact is a program for entrepreneurs who are beyond concept validation and prototype phase in their market, and who want to improve their business operations with insights and best practices from experts and international mentors and other fast-moving entrepreneurs, and who wish to experience an outstanding and long lasting personal and entrepreneurial journey alongside engaging in the enpact community.

Participants in the program will work on new and exciting challenges to overcome with team, funding product development, positioning, and business development. They will explore new markets, pitch to an extensive network of partners, gain exposure via international and regional media outlets, and exchange stories about failures, lessons, tips and tricks with the enpact community.
