One thing we all worry about when we go shopping is how long is the queue at the checkout cashier. This can be very irritating and annoying, particularly when the amount of time being wasted can be comparable to the whole shopping experience. 

Solution

The introduction of self-checkout machines that enables a customer to scan, bag, and pay for his/her items. The customer is usually guided through a series of images on a monitor and voice prompt notes. This would increase the efficiency of the shopping experience by speeding up the checkout process, taking up less space, and would save up on the workforce. There are several companies who produce it such as IBM, Fujitsu and NCR, but looking into the components of the system the possibility of local production can be an option.
