Microsoft Launched its Professional degree program

Microsoft Corp. announced the Microsoft Professional Degree (MPD) program last Wednesday at the Worldwide Partner Conference. The program is considered the first of its kind, it offers employer-endorsed, university-caliber curriculum for professionals at any stage of their career. 

MPD, is an initiative led by Microsoft, provides professionals with real world knowledge and hands- on experience to expand their skills in critical fields. It is offered in data science field and the courseware is available on  edX.org, the nonprofit online learning destination founded by Harvard University and MIT.

The program is designed for both individuals in the early stages of their career and an enhancement for mid-career professionals who are looking to sharpen and learn new skills to continue their success in the dynamic high-tech job market. Enrollees will get experience with real-world data by using Microsoft tools and the open source community that range from Excel, Power BI and Cortana Analytics to R and Python.
