Partner Self-Assessment

Partner Self-Assessment

This web-connected tool offers a way to assess and evaluate partnerships and collaborative process. It was created to make the work process better through focusing on certain areas.

When and why is this tool used?

Due to the fact that collaboration brings together an assortment of organizations, partnerships, participants from different backgrounds, the tool helps understand how the collaboration process works, assessing the process’ success and spotting certain areas that need to be worked on.

How is this tool used?

Each participant with the knowledge of how partnerships work should be asked to fill in a questionnaire, in order to provide useful data on partnerships.

Steps:

  • Go to www.partnertool.net, the coordinator and other participants will need to fill in a private questionnaire as well.
  • Questionnaires need to be done across all partnerships.
  • All automated reports will be sent to all associates and teammates.
  • Respondents then share information, anonymously. Later, each receives a unique partner ID without revealing their names.
  • The tool will analyze the data collected off the questionnaires, resulting in an action-oriented report on the strengths and weaknesses in the partnership

Hints for using this tool:

Prior to proceeding with the tool, partnerships need to make sure it fits the collaboration. A coordinator fills out a questionnaire, and then receives a return registration email including information to access the tool.

Case Study:

Tamara is a clothing manufacturing company with partners in the fabric industry and outlets. With that at hand, the owners would prefer to assess partnerships within the fabric industry, namely Wooly, as it is the lead partner to Tamara. The questionnaire will be circulated across both partners including all employers of all grades, roles, and responsibilities. With assigned IDs, each participant received the same automated PDF report assessing a performance, points of strengths, weakness, challenges, and opportunities. The questionnaires taken will be kept confidential even to coordinators who authorized it

Pros and Cons:

It is easily used, can be accessed at, no added cost, and ensures the questionnaire secrecy on all levels. However, the tool does not fit all collaboration processes, it’s too generic and does not focus on a certain aspect of the partnership but rather on the overall collaboration process. Also, the tool does not point out the which collaboration level that needs developing.
