Diabetes is one of the most common diseases in the world. In 2015, International Diabetes Federation estimated that 415 million are diabetics worldwide. They suffer from the needle pain every time they check their blood sugar and sometimes they postpone the check because they can’t handle the pain.

Symphony is an innovative device for the diabetics. It is a patch that wirelessly tracks your glucose levels through affixing to the skin needle-free using a band-aid type adhesive. The device painlessly removes the outer layer of skin and starts to measure the glucose levels, and then it connects wirelessly to your smartphone to display the results. Echo Therapeutics has already begun manufacturing prototypes. This product can change the paradigm of needle-based glucose testing. For more information, watch this video.
