Remoteplatz;the Startup Building the Future of Work by Connecting Egyptian Developers with Europian Tech Firms

For every 100 engineering jobs in Europe, there are 26 engineering candidates available, according to Bitkom.org. The skills shortage in Europe is real and the gap between supply and demand is rapidly growing. On the other side, the number of tech talents in Egypt is increasing. Engineering schools comprise 15% of the total graduates with around 26,000 - 30,000 graduates every year. This creates a great opportunity for Remoteplatz, an Egyptian startup, to connect developers in Egypt with like-minded entrepreneurs and tech firms across Europe through remote job opportunities.

Through Remoteplatz, developers are able to create a profile that showcases their experience and skillsets through which potential employers can request to interview them and then hire them as full-time remote developers.

“Remoteplatz represents the modern solution to talent acquisition using technology. We started Remoteplatz with the aim of transforming the lives of software engineers in Egypt by bringing them a set of incredible opportunities including competitive salaries,” said Mohamed Hawass, The CEO of Remoteplatz.

“Remoteplatz is working relentlessly to solve problems on both sides of the Market. Given that the European market is facing a shortage of IT talents, Remoteplatz is working to bridge this talent gap by connecting employers with qualified calibers,” said Saeed Gouda, Founder and VP partnerships of Remoteplatz.

Remoteplatz is currently participating in the incubation program at the Technology Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC). Under this program, Remoteplatz aims to establish an artificial intelligence-based platform to automate the recruitment process and help the company expand its talent pool to hire 10.000 remote engineers by 2022 and become Africa’s best tech employer.

Remoteplatz was founded in April 2019, with the aim of empowering developers in Egypt to work remotely with leading European businesses. Today, Remoteplatz is located in Cairo with headquarters in Berlin and has access to thousands of developers in Egypt through its digital platform
