Kuzlo Closes Pre-Seed round led by Nama Ventures

3 years 1 month ago

Kuzlo, the Egyptian goods market that connects retailers with wholesalers in their area to provide prices for goods in the most transparent manner, announced today raising an undisclosed pre-seed investment during a round led by Nama Ventures.

Kuzlo provides a better supply network for workers in the FMCG sector using technology to ensure the success of their work, while the sector is undergoing notable changes due to intense competition between commercial chains and supermarkets, which in turn create significant pressures on traditional grocery and supermarket stores.

Founded in March 2021 in Egypt by Ayman, Tarek, Basem and Gibreel, Kuzlo has a major focus on Alexandria, with the aim of providing its clients with the best service and confidence in delivery times.

Commenting on this investment, Ayman Elgarim, founder partner and CEO, said: "Digitalization has become the main engine of transformation in many industrial sectors, and the (B2B) market in Egypt has just begun its journey towards a digital future. Kuzlo helps small retailers to overcome the challenges of the future and supports them to enhance the value of their business using new digital trends of e-commerce and e-finance in the near future. "

From his part, Mohammed Alzubi, founder of Nama Ventures said “Part of our investment thesis is a growth in the search for fantastic teams working to change the shape of traditional businesses taking advantage of technology, and this has been demonstrated by the supply chain in the area of groceries in the Middle East and North Africa. Ayman, Mohammed Gebril, Bassem, and their great advisor Tarek are true examples of a complementary team with deep knowledge in the industry, tech expertise, and operational excellence to take this opportunity in Alexandria. We have no doubt that this team is working on something special and we are proud and happy to be the only investor and supporter on the Pre-Seed round.”
