UAE shoot for the stars after signing an MoU with China for space collaboration

The UAE signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with of China concerning peaceful space exploration. After the MoU signing, the UAE Space Agency and China National Space Agency are to exchange scientific data in the space study field. The MoU also includes exchanging of research, training, lectures and other space related capacity building programs. The fields of research and development covered by the MoU include satellites scientific testing and remote sensing. Additionally, collaborating in other services such as launching and controlling ground satellite systems.

The two countries agreed to form a joint committee responsible for this cooperation. The committee will set a ground for relevant institutions in both countries working in the space field to have further collaborations and sign further agreements. The MoU was signed during the visit of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi to China and was attended by several Chinese government officials.
