4 years 6 months ago

Trolley, grocery delivery platform, has raised $200,000 as seed funding from a Kuwaiti investor, according to Menabytes. The startup was founded in late 2018 and was launched on January 2019. It sells and delivers groceries all over Cairo and Giza through its web and mobile-based platform.

The startup is currently completing over 400 orders every month with 30 percent of the products being fulfilled from Trolley’s own warehouse and the rest being sourced from their partners. The platform includes everything from bakery, fresh food, baby products to makeup, recharge cards and pet food.

Trolley was founded by Mohamed Abbas who told menabytes that they will be using the investment for marketing, developing their website and app, and expanding their team. Abbas also added that by mid-2020 they will be expanding to 3 more governorates.
