Avis Egypt Sets a New Standard with Global and National Wins

Avis Egypt has made history by becoming the first licensee from Egypt and the African continent to be awarded “Licensee of the Year 2025” by the Avis Budget Group. The recognition was announced at the group’s annual International Conference in Istanbul, which hosted representatives from over 150 countries. This prestigious title, valid through 2027, acknowledges outstanding performance in growth, customer satisfaction, and adherence to global operational standards.
In the same week, Avis Egypt also secured the title of “Egypt’s Leading Car Rental Company” for the ninth year in a row, according to the World Travel Awards, and received Booking.com’s “Customer Favorite” accolade—an award driven by user reviews and service quality ratings. These achievements underscore the company’s consistent excellence and its growing alignment with Egypt’s surging tourism sector, which recorded $8.7 billion in revenue in the first half of FY2024/2025 and saw a 25% year-on-year increase in tourist arrivals during Q1 2025.
A subsidiary of the Ezz Elarab Group and the official licensee of Avis, Budget, and Payless in Egypt, Avis Egypt is positioning itself as a future-forward mobility solutions provider. This milestone coincides with Ezz Elarab Group’s 50th anniversary and reflects its deepening investment in Egypt’s transport and tourism infrastructure.
Commenting on the achievement, Eng. Hisham Ezz Elarab, Chairman of the Ezz Elarab Group, noted: “This global recognition represents a significant step in our mission to lead Egypt’s mobility transformation. It reflects our expanding market presence, customer-first ethos, and strategic growth plan aimed at anticipating evolving transportation needs.”
Beyond short-term rentals, Avis Egypt has expanded its offerings fivefold over the past three years and now provides a comprehensive mobility suite, including:
- Daily, weekly, and monthly car rentals
- Long-term corporate leasing
- Chauffeur-driven transportation
- Fleet solutions for events, business travel, and airport services
Chairwoman Nevine El-Labban emphasized the company’s strategic direction: “Our aim is to offer holistic mobility services that reflect shifting consumer behaviors and business demands. We're not just adapting to market trends—we’re defining them.”
Bottom line: With international accolades, consistent growth, and a strong role in enabling Egypt’s tourism economy, Avis Egypt is redefining what car rental services can offer in the region.
