Egypt’s Creativa Incubation Program Opens Applications for Third Cohort, according to what Waya published.

The Creativa Incubation Program (CIP) has recently opened applications for its third cohort, targeting early-stage tech startups. This initiative is organized by the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) under the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), and it operates within the Creativa Innovation Hubs, which are supported by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT).

Eligibility Criteria: The program is designed for individuals who have an innovative tech idea, startup, or graduation project. Ideal candidates will be focusing on key sectors such as educational technology (edtech), renewable energy, e-commerce, and smart cities solutions.

Program Offerings: CIP provides substantial support to participants, offering up to EGP 360,000 in financial and technical assistance over a nine-month period, without taking any equity. This support includes a direct grant of EGP 180,000 along with services valued at another EGP 180,000. These services encompass mentoring, business and technical consulting, and access to dedicated office space. This comprehensive support package aims not only to provide financial aid but also to enhance participants' business skills and expand their professional networks.

Goals and Benefits: The primary goal of CIP is to cultivate pre-seed startups into sustainable, scalable businesses and to stimulate tech innovation that can address current market challenges effectively. By participating in this program, startups gain the opportunity to develop their business models under expert guidance, access essential resources, and connect with a network of tech professionals and potential investors.

About Creativa: Creativa is a national initiative spearheaded by the MCIT to reduce the gap between the skills available in the Egyptian market and the evolving needs of the global tech industry. Creativa operates hubs in various Egyptian governorates including Mansoura, Mounfia, Menia, Sohag, Qena, and Aswan, each tailored to meet the specific needs of its locale. The initiative focuses on equipping the youth with necessary technological skills to thrive in the future job market.

This program offers a significant opportunity for tech innovators and entrepreneurs to propel their ideas into viable business ventures while contributing to Egypt’s growing tech ecosystem. Interested individuals or teams are encouraged to apply, leveraging this platform for growth and innovation.
