Cairo, Egypt – Thursday, May 15, 2025 – In a move reflecting its ongoing commitment to social responsibility and sustainable development, the Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development has signed a strategic cooperation protocol with Nile University. This collaboration aims to bolster entrepreneurship and small projects and instill a culture of freelance work among young people. This will be achieved through a comprehensive program designed to qualify 1,200 aspiring entrepreneurs in two main tracks: a technical track and a readiness for freelance work track.

Program Details
The signing of the protocol was witnessed by prominent figures from both sides, including Essam El-Wakil, Chairman of the Banque Misr Foundation's Board of Trustees, Dr. Wael Akl, President of Nile University, and other senior officials from both the Foundation and the University.

The protocol includes intensive training for 1,200 young men and women via an integrated digital learning platform. The training will focus on honing crucial skills such as mobile application development, UI/UX design, digital marketing, social media platform management, sales management, business development, and negotiation skills. A select group of experts and specialists will deliver these training sessions to ensure a rich and effective learning experience.

Furthermore, 420 young participants will receive advanced training in the freelance market readiness track after completing the technical curriculum, fostering excellence and innovation. The program will also offer valuable financial prizes to the top three trainees in each of the six sub-tracks. To ensure the initiative's sustainability and broad reach, the training platform will be made available to the public for a nominal fee after the first phase concludes.

Strategic Partnership and Future Vision
Essam El-Wakil emphasized the Banque Misr Foundation's leading role in social responsibility and its dedication to providing added value to society and effectively contributing to creating sustainable job opportunities for youth and supporting entrepreneurship. He noted that the Foundation places utmost importance on enhancing cooperation with various development partners to achieve sustainable development goals.

El-Wakil also highlighted that the partnership between the Foundation and Nile University is a strategic and long-standing collaboration dating back to 2015. This partnership underscores both institutions' shared commitment to supporting education and empowering youth to achieve their academic and professional aspirations. Previous collaborations have resulted in 94 full scholarships across various faculties and 10 postgraduate scholarships.
