Many older folks would like to keep living on their own, but need a little assistance with daily chores, bill paying or grocery shopping. A lot of elderly are forced to move to nursing homes rather than live independently because they need just a little outside help or a daily visit from a caregiver.

 

Solution

A network for elderly assistants and caregivers. Many people have a natural talent with the elderly and feel personal fulfillment from assisting them, however, may be faced with a few limitations. One is that they have a hard time finding elderly that need their help and another is that it is usually volunteer work and they would rather get paid for their effort and time.

This digital network would work to overcome both these challenges through connecting the elderly that are not in nursing homes with youth who have time and energy and who would like to do simple jobs for older people. Users would sign up as either assistants or elderly in need of assistance and the network would work to match them geographically or through additional filters.
