Problem
It is important to note that there are many water-resistant devices available on the market that can continue to function properly if they are exposed only to a small amount of moisture for a short period of time. However, prolonged exposure to water and moisture can damage the components of those devices and cause them to stop working.
As a result, for the hard of hearing and the deaf, the lack of an affordable waterproof cochlear implant imposes restrictions on the various activities they can engage in, affects their social interaction, and generally their lifestyle that they wish to pursue.
