Mastercard Partners with PayTabs to Expand Digital Payment Solutions for Egyptian SMEs

Mastercard has entered into a strategic partnership with PayTabs Group to enhance digital payment capabilities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Egypt.
Under this collaboration, PayTabs will utilize Mastercard’s extensive global network and digital payment infrastructure to launch a white-labelled digital payments platform for merchants. The platform aims to strengthen payment acceptance for SMEs, promote the use of contactless transactions, and support Egypt’s ongoing digital transformation efforts.
Designed to be fast, secure, and customizable, the solution allows small businesses to accept digital payments more efficiently. Its user-friendly interface enables merchants to generate payment links with ease, significantly reducing manual processing time. It also integrates smoothly into existing operations, improving efficiency and offering features such as QR code functionality for a better digital experience.
The platform enhances the mobile payment experience by enabling quick and secure transactions via payment links, making it easier for customers to complete purchases. By streamlining cash flow management and reducing reliance on physical cash, the solution helps bring more businesses and consumers into the formal financial ecosystem.
Karim Eyada, General Manager of PayTabs Egypt, commented: “Our partnership with Mastercard brings PayTabs’ advanced white-labelled payment solutions to Egypt. By empowering acquirers with this modern platform, we are advancing the shift toward a cashless economy and improving digital accessibility for SMEs. Together, we’re driving greater adoption of online payments and enriching the experience for both businesses and consumers.”
Mohamed Assem, Mastercard’s Country Manager for Egypt, Lebanon, and Iraq, added: “We view collaboration as key to building strong infrastructure and creating lasting impact. This initiative with PayTabs delivers innovative payment solutions that not only support the growth of SMEs but also contribute to Egypt’s inclusive and resilient digital economy.”
Founded in 2014, PayTabs was the first fintech company from Saudi Arabia to offer secure and seamless B2B ecommerce solutions to SMEs. Today, it continues to empower digital transactions across the MENA region with scalable, simple, and secure tools that fuel local economies and promote financial inclusion.
