Amazon China Pours $1 Billion In Lazada

Alibaba - Amazon China- pours $1 Billion into Southeast Asia ecommerce platform Lazada.  The deal makes Alibaba a controlling shareholder on e-commerce platforms.

The deal also includes $500 million in newly issued equity capital and the purchase existing  shares from Lazada shareholders. Hence and According to Rocket Internet -which founded the company in 2011- Lazada is now valued at $1.5 billion.
