Techne to Announce Winning Startup in Startup Competition on Saturday
Techne drifts, a one-day event that roams most of Egypt’s Governorates in the Delta, Upper Egypt, and The Canal, is currently being held of the third year in a row. A startup competition at the closing event where the best startup from each governorate competes for a EGP 100,000 prize, will be held in Cairo this Saturday.
The drifts aim to empower and strengthen the entrepreneurs community in Egypt, and it shows success stories of entrepreneurs and mentions their challenges and how they were able to overcome them.
The drifts also include talks by experts that help startups at their different stages, in addition to opening communication channels between Egyptian and global startups, and it provides investment opportunities in Egyptian startups through investors or incubators or accelerators.
Techne aims to develop the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Egypt to make it more mature by providing training opportunities to create an economic value and present solutions to the country’s problems.
The drifts this year are held in partnership with many entities including The Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), and TIEC’s ambassadors are present in all governorates where the drifts were held. To know more about Techne Drifts and the closing event, click here.
