5 Speakers You Shouldn't Miss At AWSIF This Friday
Ashoka, social entrepreneurs network, is hosting the Arab World Social Innovation Forum (AWSIF) on Friday in partnership with the AUC - Center for Entrepreneurship - School of Business at The American University in Cairo (AUC) . AWSIF is an international forum that connects social entrepreneurs and supports local-to-global and global-to-local movement for social change worldwide.
This year the forum will have 55 speakers and 20 sessions about varying topics such as climate change, unemployment, innovation, women in business and much more. Here are some key speakers we think you shouldn’t miss out on:
1. Sami Hourani:
Founder and CEO of the educational platform for9a.com. Hourani has also received the Takreem prestigious Award for the “Young Entrepreneur” category in 2018.
4. Laila Iskander:
Chairperson & Founding Board Member of CID Consulting, former Egyptian Minister of State for Environment Affairs and a social entrepreneur.
3. H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat:
Egypt’s current Minister of Tourism, and the first woman to hold this position since the ministry was established more than five decades ago.
4. Janet Longmore:
Founder and CEO of Digital Opportunity Trust. Longmore also serves on the steering committee for the World Economic Forum’s “Internet for All” Initiative and the ITU/UN “Women EQUALS in Tech” Initiative.
5. Adnane Addioui
