Register before 6 May to Participate in TIEC’s New Round of ‘Start IT’ Incubation Program
The Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has launched a new round of Start IT Incubation Program.
Start IT is a quarterly nationwide business plan competition targeting entrepreneurs with ICT-related business plans, prototypes or proof of concept, and working on turning their ideas into startups.
Submitted projects are evaluated based on several criteria, most notably the uniqueness of the proposed service or product and its commercialization potential; clearly defined target markets with high growth potential; a well-defined competitors’ analysis; the competitive advantage of the service or product; the skills and expertise of the management team; and the prototype maturity.
Winners are offered a unique opportunity to have their ideas incubated at one of TIEC incubators for one year. The incubation package includes cash fund and EGP 120,000 worth of in-kind services provided in the form of consultancy services, software and hardware tools, and marketing support. This is in addition to a working space with basic furniture and Internet access, and access to technical, subject-matter advisory, business consulting, and mentoring.
Established in 2010, TIEC aims to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in the local ICT industry through building the capacity of enterprises and individuals, providing innovation assessment and certification services, and participating in national innovation initiatives.
The deadline for applications is May 6. For more information, kindly click here.
