Opportunity

We live in a world where global warming is rapidly increasing and we are suffering from the large amounts of greenhouse gases and dramatic climate change in our habitats. This innovation is focusing reducing unnecessary trips by garbage trucks and thus decreasing carbon dioxide and other fuel related emissions.  

Solution

Using solar cells, the “smart trash cans” use renewable energy sources to compact trash to take 5x more garbage and automatically alert disposal companies once full. This will decrease fuel used and emissions to create a more efficient trash removal system, for a healthier, cleaner and brighter future. See it in action above.
