Startup With Purpose is a non-profit organization aimed at promoting entrepreneurship through collaboration between young entrepreneurs from around the world in the Middle East. Founded in the Fall of 2016 by students from the University of California, Startup With Purpose will be hosting its first week-long entrepreneurship boot camp at King’s Academy in Madaba, Jordan from July 30th to August 6th, 2017.
Audience
The bootcamp is for everyone interested and passionate about entrepreneurship, students, and change makers from around the Middle East. Through Startup With Purpose, participants will go on to found successful companies, lead productive regional and global initiatives, and live productive lives of purpose.
Objectives
Startup With Purpose aims is to facilitate a student-led movement around the world and use entrepreneurship, teamwork, and innovation to combat challenging social and economic problems.
At the Startup With Purpose boot camp participants will be encouraged to form intellectually diverse teams to ideate, form teams, and build commercially scalable products. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to attend lectures from leading academics in the field of entrepreneurship from the University of California, Berkeley, Stanford University, and other top-tier institutions in the US, UK, and Middle East and from regional and global business leaders. The program will end in a “pitch day” where representatives from each team will have the opportunity to present their ideas and companies to a panel of experts and venture capitalists.
Cost
The cost of attendance if admitted is USD 1,500 for international participants or JOD 1065 for participants coming from Jordan. A financial aid application will be available upon admittance if requested. Apply here before the 1st of July.
