RoboCamp 2017

A four-day camp at zewail city for science and technology that aims to educate children about robotics with a competition on the final day where children will create a robot that they control with their smartphone to apply their knowledge.

Audience

Children from the age of 10-15.

Objectives

• Day one: Introduction about engineering to educate the children about the different fields of engineering to grow their abilities and an introduction to programming to learn coding and arduino will be used to apply their knowledge.
• Day two: Introduction about mechanics to learn some basic concepts that will train the children on building their own robot such as, Forces and inertia, Newton laws of motion, Conservation of energy and momentum. At the end of the day children will do a project to implement what they learned.
• Day three: Introduction about electronics and electric circuits to learn basic concepts in electronics and you will work on some simple circuits.
• Day four: Children will make a robot that they can control with their smartphones, allowing them to implement what they learned throughout the past three days.
