Egyptian renewable energy company NoorNation recorded significant achievements throughout 2025, marking it as a highly promising year for the company.
NoorNation concluded the year by winning several awards, with its founders also being recognized on prestigious global lists. The company specializes in developing and manufacturing technology-enabled decentralized infrastructure solutions for energy and water.

Key Achievements
Before the end of 2025, Ragy Ramadan, Co-founder and CEO of NoorNation, was selected among the Top 50 Most Influential Figures by the Champions of the Conference of the Parties (COP) on Climate Change.
Under his leadership, the company is expanding access to clean energy and clean water for underserved communities across Egypt, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and Sub-Saharan Africa through its flagship LifeBox project.
In addition, Mohamed Khaled, Co-founder of NoorNation, was selected as one of five founders worldwide leading pioneering projects in circular, clean, and climate-smart solutions to join the YECO Global Accelerator Program 2025.
NoorNation was also chosen to participate in the global youth grants program “Youth Impact: Because You Matter,” led by UNESCO and Nestlé, through its innovative LifeBox™ project, a solar-powered water desalination solution specifically designed for off-grid communities.

A Promising Year
Commenting on these achievements in an exclusive statement to Egypt Innovate, Ragy Ramadan, Co-founder and CEO of NoorNation, said: “Thank God, 2025 has been a very promising year for us. We achieved several milestones, including my selection among the Top 50 Most Influential Figures by the Champions of the Climate Change Conference of the Parties.“
He added “During the COP conference in Azerbaijan, there was an initiative to honor real impact makers working on the ground globally. What made this initiative unique is that it was based solely on nominations, not applications. Thousands were nominated worldwide, and only 50 were selected globally, and I was honored to be one of them. It is truly a one-of-a-kind recognition.”
He added that this recognition reflects the international community’s acknowledgment of the company’s tangible impact through its innovation of decentralized systems for irrigation, water desalination, and water treatment for drinking purposes in agricultural communities and across multiple countries.
He noted that NoorNation’s solutions demonstrate strong scalability, enabling the company to expand and operate in different markets globally.

Young Impact Makers
Ramadan also highlighted that Co-founder Mohamed Khaled was selected from among thousands of applicants worldwide by the International Trade Centre’s global community of young professionals, which was searching for impactful innovators under the age of 35.
Khaled was chosen as one of the winners due to his innovative contribution in developing a portable, solar-powered water unit capable of easily providing water access in various locations.
Khaled was selected as one of only five founders to advance to the acceleration phase, with a final selection to narrow the group down to three entrepreneurs who will receive financial awards of up to €10,000.
