Egypt has unequivocally established itself as a leading global contender for IT and Business Process Services (BPS), a status powerfully reinforced by the 2025 Global Offshoring Summit.
Hosted under the high-level patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the event drew over 250 senior executives, providing a platform for the government to detail its strategic successes and future ambitions.
Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, announced that the country's digital export revenues had skyrocketed, doubling from $2.4 billion to an impressive $4.8 billion in just three years, while the number of offshoring companies more than doubled to over 240.
This boom is fueled by a comprehensive state strategy, including $6 billion in infrastructure investments and unprecedented commitment to human capital development, evidenced by a 200-fold expansion of training programs to cover 500,000 trainees in the last fiscal year.
The summit’s highlight was the signing of 55 strategic agreements between ITIDA and global giants like Accenture, Capgemini, Deloitte, and Teleperformance, which are collectively set to generate more than 70,000 high-value jobs over the next three years, accelerating the shift toward a knowledge-based economy.
These partnerships, described by ITIDA CEO Eng. Ahmed El-Zaher as a "defining moment," reflect deep international confidence in Egypt's political stability, cost competitiveness, and vast, multilingual talent pool, which includes over 50,000 ICT specialists graduating annually.
With President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi meeting directly with industry leaders to affirm the goal of transforming the sector into a productive, export-driven powerhouse, Egypt is successfully leveraging its position to challenge established hubs and fill critical global talent gaps in fields ranging from AI and cloud computing to engineering R&D.
