The platform Carerha, the leading platform for empowering and qualifying women for the labor market in Egypt and the Middle East, launched the fourth edition of the HERizon 2025 Summit, which was held in Magarra in Sheikh Zayed City as the largest professional platform to support women by providing real opportunities for their active participation in the labor market and entry into the field of entrepreneurship.
More than 6,000 people and over 20 sponsors and partners attended the Summit this year. It targeted all stages of a woman's career path, from students and recent graduates to female entrepreneurs and women leaders, through a series of sessions and career guidance workshops that focused on enhancing women's participation in non-traditional sectors such as technology, real estate, and green entrepreneurship, and integrating Artificial Intelligence technologies and digital transformation into flexible and accessible career tracks for women. In addition, it aimed to enhance mentorship and guidance between different generations to transfer experiences and knowledge, and support a flexible work environment that achieves a balance between family and professional life, while providing practical spaces for female entrepreneurs to showcase and sell their products and enabling them to access new markets.
In this context, Jessy Radwan, Founder and CEO of Carerha, stated: "Through Carerha Summit, we seek to empower every woman in Egypt to explore her career opportunities and provide her with the knowledge, skills, and expertise she needs to succeed in a flexible and inclusive work environment. We believe that empowering women is not a temporary goal but a social and economic responsibility linked to sustainability and development. We work tirelessly to bring women back into the labor market after periods of interruption, whether due to family responsibilities or professional challenges, to ensure them fair and equal opportunities. Through our programs and conferences, we are keen to create work environments that enable women to advance and realize their ambitions in the field of entrepreneurship, and provide real platforms for building sustainable career paths that contribute to strengthening the national economy and the society as a whole."
The Summit provided more than 200 job opportunities, in addition to offering special meetings and discussions with an elite group of prominent women leaders across various sectors, as well as providing opportunities for direct networking with participants to explore opportunities and address the challenges facing women in the labor market, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Summit offered participants opportunities to explore the latest trends in the job market, including technology, entrepreneurship, and artificial intelligence, along with teaching them how to manage projects and build brands, focusing on enhancing intergenerational mentorship and enabling women to practically apply the knowledge gained in their professional paths.
It is worth noting that Carerha was founded in 2018 as a Facebook initiative named Hire Super Mama and has provided support and assistance to over 60,000 women since its establishment, most of whom were mothers looking for flexible job opportunities. Hire Super Mama transformed from a mere initiative into the company Carerha in 2020 and launched the first specialized online platform for employing women in Egypt and the Middle East, serving as a link between women seeking flexible work opportunities and companies looking for qualified female talent, thereby promoting gender equality in the workplace.
Since 2022, Carerha has launched a series of annual events through the Career Summit for Egyptian Women, during which it has discussed issues such as work-life balance, flexible jobs, and providing platforms for women to explore their career aspirations. More than 19,000 women have attended all previous events.
