Call for Startups to Join the G20 Digital Innovation Alliance

TIEC is launching a call to select six prominent startups in the below sectors to participate in the G20-Digital Innovation Alliance (G20-DIA) program launched by the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY), as an initiative under the G20-Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG).

The G20-DIA Program seeks to engage the Startup ecosystem stakeholders from all the G20 member countries and invited guest countries. G20-DIA program will engage, showcase, connect, and celebrate the startups from various countries that are developing solutions using digital technologies for betterment of economies and upliftment of global humanity. The program includes a Virtual Acceleration Program for all participating startups – “June to August 2023 “ and will culminate in a 3 day summit between August 16-18, 2023 in Bangalore on the sidelines of the Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG) meeting.

Six main sectors were identified to supported in the alliance, namely:

1. Ed-tech, “ Education”: Quality Education - Technology Integration - Equitable Education
2. Health-tech, “ Health”: Enabling public healthcare systems - Emerging technologies in Health
3. Agri-tech, “Agriculture/Food Security”: New-age technological farming methods - Farmers Education - Precision Agriculture
4. Fin-tech,” Finance”: Blockchain technology - Digital Currency - Digital Payment Systems
5. Secured Digital Infrastructure: Cyber-Security - Digital Platforms - 5G Technologies
6. Circular Economy: Sustainable Living (E-waste/Recycle/Re-Use) - Supply Chain Innovations

During the three-day event, innovators will get a chance to pitch their solutions to a strong diversified jury committee which would have academia, corporates, mentors, ministries and investors recognized under each theme. This jury would choose the top 3 digital innovations in each category that will be awarded.

As part of the virtual acceleration program and startup summit, startups will have the opportunity to network with other startups, showcase their innovation, pitch to the investors, seek partnership with the corporates and build a deeper understanding of the opportunities to scale globally.
