For The Third Year In a Row, Maker Faire Hits Cairo!

7 years 2 weeks ago

On the 7th and 8th of April, Cairo will witness the greatest annual event for Makers in Egypt and the Middle East: Maker Faire Cairo 2017. The two eventful days will be packed with invention, creativity and resourcefulness from very diverse fields like technology, art, science, and entrepreneurship.

Fab Lab Egypt in collaboration with IRC - U.S. Embassy Cairo are organizing Maker Faire Cairo for the third year in a row to bring the whole community of makers, ranging from tech enthusiasts and crafters, to homesteaders and scientists, to garage tinkerers; gathered in one place to showcase what they’ve made.

The essence of Maker Faire emphasizes on how we are all makers - not just consumers. Also, Maker Faire let people not just do it, but do it with others (DIWO); thus learning from people, inspiring and encouraging each other to spread the notion of making, and contribute in changing the future through the advanced and unconventional revolution of manufacturing.

This year, Maker Faire Cairo has a wider scope, being the biggest in the MENA region, engaging the audience with more sessions, projects, performances, exhibitions, special events, hands-on activities and a day just for kids.
