This year's theme, "Building for the Future: Sustainable Design for Achieving Net-Zero Real Estate,"

calls for solutions that are green, innovative, and impactful. The competition this year challenges visionary minds to develop solutions that align with the urgency of the climate crisis. From industry innovation to climate action, the competition seeks green, resilient, and impactful concepts across four key areas:

• Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (SDG 9): Upgrading construction materials, processes, and infrastructure to optimize resource usage and minimize environmental impact.
• Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11): Designing eco-friendly housing, smart energy solutions, waste management systems, and sustainable transportation options.
• Climate Action (SDG 13): Combating climate change through innovative solutions that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, build resilience to climate-related hazards, and leverage new technologies like AI and climate monitoring.
• Life on Land (SDG 15): Integrating biodiversity-friendly building practices, sustainable landscaping, and urban farming initiatives into real estate development.

Through this competition, Tatweer Misr aims to empower visionary individuals and teams to bring their green solutions to life and believes that collaboration and innovation are key to building a sustainable future for generations to come. The competition boasts two tracks: The "Ideation Track" welcomes early-stage concepts with high growth potential, offering mentorship and support to refine ideas and compete for a life-changing Exchange Program designed by the UN Global Compact Network Egypt. The "Implementation Track" caters to more developed solutions closer to market, awarding winners with significant financial support and potential partnerships with Tatweer Misr.
