Space Apps Cairo'17

For the 3rd year in a row, Egypt is taking part in the International Space Apps Challenge!

Since 2015, Space Apps Cairo has ranked amongst the most successful city hackathons worldwide; having the largest number of registered applicants globally, producing the largest number of on-site solutions and being the largest event led by women organizers. During the event, the participants deal with publicly available data to propose innovative solutions for global challenges. Earth is the theme of the challenge this year.

Audience

The International Space Apps Challenge is a two-day hackathon where teams of technologists, scientists, designers, artists, educators, entrepreneurs, developers and students across the globe collaborate and engage. The hackathon is open to anyone who has a passion for making a difference and is focused on developing real solutions to global challenges.

Objectives

The hackathon embraces collaborative problem solving with a goal of producing relevant open-source solutions to advance space exploration missions and improve life on Earth.
