Hack4Alex 2016

About:

Hack for Alex is the first Hackathon organized by Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) in collaboration with the General Division of the Computer and Software of the Federation of Egypt Chambers of Commerce (ITFoCC).

Both entities aim to find solutions to societal challenges using new technologies, one of which is Internet of Things (IoT), that is also considered as one of the platforms used in today’s Smart Cities.

Hackathon is a software/ Hardware development competition in which different teams of developers to develop new components or products in a specific time. Hackathons target is to educate and promote new software technologies.

Audience:

This year TIEC will start a series of hackathons to engage developers - from different levels of expertise and backgrounds- in new and emerging technologies as IoT.

Objectives:

• Learn about new technologies such as IoT

• Find innovative solutions to fix continual problems

  • Bring your team (if you have) or attract and recruit talented members to join your team.

  • Build a genuine business case, not just a prototype of an application, that helps in solving the previewed challenges.

• Develop your application and demonstrate it to the judges.

• Stay connected with the makers and entrepreneurs, gain exposure and get interest to your project.

Cost:

The event is for free but requires registration.

To participate you need to register through Hack4Alex website. Last day for registration is April 27th at 5:00 pm and accepted participants will be announced by 28 of April 2016.
