Why Crowdfunding?

By looking to the Crowdfunding definition “the practice of funding a project or venture by raising many small amounts of money from a large number of people, typically via the Internet.” In addition, by observing that in recent years, crowdfunding has often been heralded as a potential silver bullet and a promising source of resources in parts of the world where markets are not efficient and where capital is very scarce. For innovations in the developing world, crowdfunding eliminates the middleman and allows individuals to make contributions and investments directly to projects they are passionate about. Some have suggested that crowdfunding may even allow developing countries to leapfrog developed countries in the financial infrastructure required for innovation. Therefore, it should come with no surprise that a program must be implemented to introduce this way of funding
