Wael Fakharany: “Speed is More Important Than Accuracy.”

Injaz Egypt launched Startup Egypt 2017 Program in AUC GrEEK campus on Saturday, after announcing the 50 selected startups on Thursday. The event started by an opening speech by Dina ElMofty, CEO Injaz Egypt, where she talked about Injaz Egypt and how entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs were valued now comparing to the past.

Then Wael Fakharany, CEO Careem, gave a small talk about his journey since he first started until he landed in Careem. Fakharany addressed entrepreneurs saying: “Expose yourself, care about speed not accuracy, and have a strong heart.”  In other words, do your MVP and go to the market as fast as possible. He also urged entrepreneurs to get criticism and not to feel down if someone told them that their product/Service won’t sell, on the contrary ask them why.

In the second half of the event, Startup Egypt team talked about the program since it first started in 2011 whereas they served 2,000 entrepreneurs creating 5600 jobs.
